PERSONA PRO PHD is an advanced progressive lens design which applies Optitech technology to correct the difference in power between theoretical prescription and resulting prescription when the user is wearing their new glasses.

Optitech

There’s a difference between theoretical and perceived power which affects the adaptation to progressive lenses.

Optitech technology uses Ray Tracing technique to simulate how the lens behaves when it’s placed in front of the eye of the user, and what oblique astigmatism would be present in each point of the lens as the eye rotates.

Ray Tracing is a method for calculating the path of rays going through the surface of a lens.
